Position: Crew Lead Maintenance
Location: El Cajon
Summary:
As the Maintenance Crew Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities and operations of a team of maintenance technicians. Your primary objective is to ensure the efficient and safe functioning of all equipment, machinery, and facilities within the organization. You will be a key player in maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality while fostering a positive and cooperative work environment within the maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision and Coordination: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and expertise. Provide guidance and support to team members, encouraging professional growth and development. Coordinate work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient resource allocation.
- Maintenance Planning and Execution: Plan and prioritize maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and maximum equipment availability. Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs. Schedule and perform preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment breakdowns. Oversee and participate in the repair and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for the maintenance team and other employees. Conduct safety training and provide guidance on the proper use of equipment and tools. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
- Inventory and Resource Management: Monitor and manage maintenance inventory, spare parts, and supplies. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of required materials. Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and reduce operational costs.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance. Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with other departments and managers to coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules and organizational goals. Collaborate with the engineering and operations teams to identify areas for improvement in equipment reliability and performance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, with at least 1-4 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance and irrigation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.

Position: Construction Foreman

Summary:
A Landscape Construction Foreman is a skilled and experienced professional responsible for leading and coordinating landscape construction projects. They play a crucial role in overseeing the construction crew, ensuring the successful completion of landscaping projects while adhering to high-quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. The Landscape Construction Foreman must possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage the team and deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Preparation: Collaborate with management to understand project requirements and specifications. Review project plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to gain a clear understanding of the scope of work. Prepare the construction site by setting up necessary equipment, tools, and materials. - Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the established quality standards and adheres to the project's specifications. Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to identify and address any issues or deviations from the plan.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a strong safety culture among the crew members. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks. Ensure that all team members are trained in proper safety procedures and are using personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- Material and Equipment Management: Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to the construction site. Manage inventory and ensure an adequate supply of materials to support ongoing projects.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with project managers, designers, and clients to provide progress updates and address any concerns.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of daily activities, work hours, and material usage. Prepare progress reports and submit them to relevant stakeholders as required.

Summary:
A Landscape Construction Laborer plays a crucial role in the creation and installation of various outdoor landscape features. They work under the direction of a landscape construction supervisor and Foreman to bring landscape designs to life. This position involves physical labor and the use of various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Hardscape Installation: Assist in the construction and installation of hardscape elements, such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and fences. This may involve digging, leveling, and setting materials like concrete, bricks, pavers, or stones.
- Softscape Installation: Help with planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation according to landscape designs. This may also include laying sod or spreading mulch.
- Excavation and Grading: Perform excavation and grading tasks to prepare the land for various landscape installations. This involves using equipment like shovels, wheelbarrows, and small machinery.
- Irrigation System Installation: Assist in the installation of irrigation systems, including digging trenches for pipes, connecting sprinkler heads, and setting timers.
- Drainage Systems: Assist in the construction of drainage systems to redirect water flow away from buildings and landscape features.
- Landscape Feature Construction: Participate in the construction of landscape features, such as decorative ponds, waterfalls, rock gardens, and outdoor lighting installations.
- Material Handling: Transport and handle materials, tools, and equipment to the job site and ensure they are stored properly.
